Welcome Message from Our Chair

Welcome to LEAP’s official website! Here you will be able to find information about our education programmes, catch up on our latest developments, and discover valuable tips on how to live a healthy lifestyle. You will also be able to share some of the stories of our expertly trained and passionate educators.

LEAP was established in 1994 that aims to equip children and young people with knowledge and skills related to healthy living, develop their problem-solving abilities for daily life, and nurture positive values and attitudes, and understand the impact of drugs on the human body, by providing positive and systematic health based preventive education programmes for kindergarten, primary, secondary and special needs students.  We reach 25% of primary students and 10% of secondary students in Hong Kong every year. LEAP’s programmes are specifically designed to cater to the needs of  kindergarten, primary, secondary, and special needs students at various stages of their lives. Combining state-of-the-art teaching technologies and specially designed activities, they ensure that students acquire the appropriate knowledge, life skills, and attitude through a fun and innovative learning experience, helping them to establish a healthy lifestyle and stay away from drugs.

LEAP’s success and future development depend on the long-term support of our major sponsor, Swire, as well as the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust. We are also indebted to the Education Bureau, the Narcotics Division of the Security Bureau, and the Tobacco and Alcohol Control Office of the Department of Health; our Health Ambassador, Mr Andy Lau Tak Wah and our Life Buddy, Ms Vivienne Tam; Eastern Worldwide Co. Limited, the Sun Hing Group of Companies, Orient Trucking Limited and A & S (HK) Logistics; schools, principals, teachers, volunteers and friends of LEAP.  I would like to express my sincere gratitude to them all.

We look forward to working with all members of the community in steering young people away from substance-related harm and in nurturing a healthy environment for our next generation.
