It is with profound sadness that LEAP announces the passing of Kerry McGlynn, our esteemed Vice Chair and long-standing Board Director, on 11 September 2025 in Sydney.
For over three decades, Kerry served as a trusted advisor to LEAP and a passionate advocate for children’s health and well-being. His invaluable wisdom and unwavering dedication were instrumental in shaping LEAP’s mission to impart vital life skills and knowledge to young people, empowering them to make informed and positive choices in life. Kerry’s inspiring vision will undoubtedly continue to propel our work forward for many years to come.
Together with his beloved late wife, Jenny McGlynn, our founding Executive Director, Kerry left an indelible mark on LEAP. Their partnership laid a strong and nurturing foundation for our mission to empower children and young people in Hong Kong, and their legacy will always serve as a beacon for our community.
We send our deepest condolences to the McGlynn family during this difficult time, hoping they may find solace in the knowledge that Kerry’s legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched through his kindness, leadership, and dedication to preventive education.
According to Kerry’s own wishes, we invite friends and colleagues to celebrate his memory by making donations to LEAP instead of sending flowers to his memorial events. This thoughtful gesture perfectly reflects his commitment to empowering youth through education and positive action.
May his spirit rest in peace, forever inspiring us to continue in our mission.
