Since 1994, Life Education Activity Programme (LEAP) has been dedicated to empowering children and youth in Hong Kong to make informed, healthy choices through comprehensive preventive education. Our programmes focus on holistic well-being while fostering social inclusion and equal opportunities for all, regardless of background or ability.
By partnering with students, parents, and teachers, LEAP delivers dynamic, accessible learning experiences, empowers children and youth to navigate life’s challenges with support from the adults around them, and actively supports the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals of Good Health and Well-Being, Quality Education, and Reduced Inequality.
In the 2023/24 academic year, we have extended our reach to more schools in need.
As of August 2024, we served a total of 300 schools, including kindergartens, primary, secondary, and special needs schools, reaching a significant total of 93,983 students! Of these, 69,090 were primary students, 19,360 were secondary students, and 5,533 were students with special needs.
We know that parental involvement is essential for students’ growth. That’s why we engaged with 5,156 parents through various parental courses, equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills.

Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being
LEAP is committed to empowering children and youth to make informed and healthy choices through comprehensive preventive education programmes focused on holistic well-being. In response to growing concerns about student mental health, LEAP has expanded its initiatives to equip students with the necessary tools to successfully navigate life’s challenges.
Goal 4: Quality Education
For over 30 years, LEAP HK has been a trusted partner in Hong Kong’s education landscape, delivering dynamic, high-quality learning experiences that enrich the formal education system. The programmes are carefully designed to be inclusive and accessible, ensuring that all students, regardless of their language background, including ethnic minorities and those with special education needs, have the opportunity to thrive. Additionally, LEAP provides valuable resources and targeted training for teachers and parents, empowering them with effective strategies to reinforce educational messages both at home and in the classroom.
Goal 10: Reduced Inequalities
LEAP is committed to fostering social inclusion and equal opportunities by offering its diverse programmes to varied student populations, including Chinese-speaking students, English-speaking students, ethnic minorities, and students with special educational needs. By adapting content and delivery methods to cater to these diverse needs, LEAP effectively bridges opportunity gaps and cultivates a culture of respect, equity, and understanding among students.
