Parents often want their children to excel academically and meet their expectations and standards in all aspects. However, this can lead them to overlook the children’s own thoughts and wishes, which affecting communication and damaging the parent-child relationship. Our Educator of parent programme, Ms. Miranda Chan and Head of Education, Ms. Joyce Liu were previously interviewed on\u00a0the radio programme on Radio Television Hong Kong (Radio 1), where they shared with parents how to equip themselves with knowledge, attitude and skills to build a good relationship with their children. Children will face different challenges in their growth, so building a parent-child relationship has to start in early childhood. When children encounter difficulties, they will be more willing to confide in their parents, allowing the parents to provide timely and appropriate guidance.<\/p>
